Where do I start. I went there for the first time last week, and ordered 3 items: the raw oyster wraps with pork, stir fried kimchee with tofu and the fish egg soup. All tasted amazing. Service level was awesome, and the place became pretty crowded around 7-8pm with people eating and drinking good soju cocktails. Definitely recommend this place for gatherings with special group of friends.

I gave a good rating mostly for the experience, not the restaurant itself. I wouldn't call it a lounge, and I wouldn't call it Korean food either. Also, I thought the price was kinda high for what you get.  But, the food is still REALLY good.

Our party was lucky enough to snag the private room with karaoke, so that was awesome.

YAY for The Spot!!

food = awesome

soju = awesome

this is weird, but try the fish and chips.  i know, right?  fish and chips at a korean joint?  i thought the same, but one night, my friend ordered it...and it was so good!  LoLx  i love the dwenjang jigae [soybean soup] too.  i always ask them to put ramen in it too *yummie*

as for the soju, yogurt, peach, and lychee are the best!  *yummie*

this is a great place to go on the weekdays, but weekends get pretty packed...but we usually hit up the clubs on the weekends, so that doesn`t bother me hehe

great atmosphere, everyone`s very friendly. great decor, and they play hiphop too!

plus, my buddies own this place, so an extra star for them! ;D

It was my first time trying flavored soju (FINALLY, right??) and I'm a fan! We had the peach and it was so good. It basically tastes like juice but be careful, it's a creeper! We also had "The Spot" chicken wings, kimchee fried rice, and vermicelli. Pretty good, but nothing spectacular. It probably tastes reaaaaaally good if you're buzzing, haha. Good place to drink with friends and handle drunken munchies!

How genius is the name???!! It's so catchy ina good way! Great all around here at this place! The food is awesome-I have yet to try everything on the menu, but for starters, their calamari is great (i'm not a fan of calamari sticks but these were SO good) and The Spot Special Chicken wings were sooooo juicy!!! THe drinks are great, I love soju!! Those who think soju is a sissy drink obviously don't know what they're talking about. The Spot has so many flavors to choose from (I like the green apple flavor!) You can even catch $2 Tiger Beer specials from time to time-which I think goes GREAT w/ their spciy food! The owners are so damn nice and know how to perform customer service-they really work hard and are fast! It's a great atmosphere and fun place to hang out.

5stars for great service!! It's like he could read our minds......"play music instead of the game" BAM, awesome remixes came on. "too spicy, i need some water"BAM, he brings it over as i am thinking it!!

food was goooooood, spicy, but you have to eat it you know? Like Hot Cheetos.

Mango soju was also good, came in a wiggly bottle! and was -$5.00 cos it was a happy hour thursday.

we ordered......a mixed meat soup that had, hot dogs, spam, pork?, and ramen noodles.

bibimbap with egg on top.

and our all time fave, maybe because its not spicy and really good, chapchae!!!!!!!! My sister-in-law's mom's used to make the best chapchae, but now i have to say, its moved on to 2nd best, WAIT,

ok her's is still the best because its all i can eat!

You know how korean places give you like a billion little dishes that come with your dishes, I liked it here, it was a little different, they put all the little dishes in a tv-dinner kinda plate.

surprisingly the spot was empty  throughout the whole dinner, during dinner time hour, we were the only people there..weird.

I recently had my birthday party here and I reserved the private room with the karaoke. I had a party of 24 people and it fit everyone!

I tried the kimchi fried rice which isn't that good. I prefer Toyose for that.  The sizzling platters were okay, but I actually don't recommend the food here.

The Soju here is DA BOMB! They have so many flavors and I think its even better Soju than Toyose.  They even gave me a free martini for my birthday. I got the blueberry one and it was really good also!!

We all had a blast in the private room with the karaoke all drunk.  The best part is that we didn't need to pay per hour in there.  Service was good also.

I highly recommend this place for the drinks and to go there after dinner.

I came here with a couple of friends last night to get belligerent and try out some soju (which, sadly, none of us had ever had before). When we got there it was definitely emptier than I expected--even for a Sunday night. We got a few pitchers of HIte beer, two bottles of soju, some food and it was crackin'. My friend ordered their shredded pork, and a few of us split their fried calamari. The food was great and the alcohol was fairly priced but I think the service is what really makes me like this place. Our waiter was really cool to us and he didn't hesitate to refill our shrimp chips (and throw in some free popcorn too). Great place.

If I could I would give this place 3.5 stars.  My sis and I dropped in for dinner, kind of early so no crowds.

--5 stars for service. Very friendly.
--4 stars for ambience.  Kind of hip but not obnoxiously so.
--3 stars for the food.  Loved the dduk bok gi with ramen--despite the overabundance of sauce.  But the fried rice in the omurice (rice omelette) was made with loads of margarine, yech.  The pork in their dishes are rather tough, flavorless cubes; would have done better with pork belly.

And why oh why are the soju cocktails in the Bay Area all artificially flavored?  Lemon soju cocktail tastes so much better with fresh lemon juice and pulp, not some awful syrup.

They're just starting off, so I definitely plan on returning to have the ramen dduck bok gi again and try out some other dishes.

Great place.....I am glad I live close to this fine establishment, otherwise I could see myself wasting a lot of gas to get here.

Ever since I stepped into The Spot I was hooked. When I first walked in I could not help but notice how clean the place was, next I noticed the great selection of beers on tap, then the food, then the price.

Overall just a great place to go, whether its a for a party, a simple happy hour drink or a weekend drinkathon.

A Korean restaurant open till 2am serving bottles and bottles of soju with excellent customer service?? That's right. Such a thing exists and it's at "The Spot."

Actually, I'd give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but I can't. I came here two nights in a row a few months ago. The first night was just for dinner, and the second night was for Jannifer H.'s birthday party. Service was attentive and surpassed my expectations both nights. It was definitely a better experience than places like Toyose or Teo.

The food, however, was only ok, and it takes a while for the food to come. Throughout the span of my two nights, I ordered the spicy tofu soup (soon dubu), omurice, "the spot" chicken wings, and the marinated rice sticks (duk bok ki). The spicy tofu soup tasted bland and wasn't very spicy at all. It was pretty hot when it arrived, and I don't remember them giving me an egg to crack into the soup. The soup also came with a bowl of rice. The omurice was alright, nothing special. I'm not sure what kind of fat is supposed to be used in omurice, but I tasted butter(??) in theirs. I wasn't too fond of that. "The Spot" chicken wings were really good. The sauce was sweet and tangy with just the right amount of sauce. The sauce in the duk bok ki was slightly sweet with a spicy kick in the end. I thought I could handle it since it tasted sweet, but the heat really kicks in! I also tasted some of my friend's kimchi fried rice. Not the best that I've had.

As far as soju goes, I've had all of their flavors and they're all pretty good except for the strawberry one. I'd definitely go to Toyose for their strawberry soju. Surprisingly, the lime soju is pretty damn good! You can also ask the waiter/waitress to make your bottle extra strong ;)

Overall, the food is alright, the soju is good and the service is excellent. Definitely would come back to just drink and kick it.

And I quote my friend, "This is probably the best Korean food I've ever had."

I came here on a Thursday night. It was modestly filled so it wasn't that loud and the service staff gave us ample attention. The place itself is new, and you can tell with how clean and new everything is. The decor is nice; booths are individually paritioned with hanging tatami-like screens. Their music was a little loud, but their song selection was pretty good (94.9, 99.7 type music).

Onto the food:

Spot Fried Chicken: $12 - The chicken was a lot tastier than some other un-named Korean spots I've been too. Their sauce was pretty good, and they didn't drench it with sauce or apply too much batter. It was a good balance. Sadly, they only give you 8 pieces.

Meat Stew - $23 - I got this because other yelpers raved about it. It was ok. It has spicy broth, and a conglomerate of meats (i.e. hot dog, sausage?, etc). Other people in my party enjoyed it; if you like soups and noodles, this might be up your alley.

Seafood pancake: $12 - The pancake had a nice creamy taste to it and if you like seafood, you should like this too.

Flavored Sojus: $13 - Yogurt, Pear, Guava, Lychee - Their sojus are stronger than, again, other un-named Korean places, so you should know that going in. They also have a fairly large selection of about ten flavors.

Bulgogi -$16 - The beef was really tender and delicious. Not overly salty.

Kimchi Fried Rice: $12 - The egg mixed well into the rice. Pretty good.

+1 star for the owner coming to our table and giving us all free sample shots of the pear soju (which was my favorite, btw). Additional points for potstickers on the house.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. I'm also in full agreement with other reviewers about the service and hospitality of the owners.

I'll be looking to Spot Lounge to replace the other un-named Korean places on my "where should we go for tasty soju and good korean food" list.

Sidenote: One of the waitresses there has an uncanny resemblance to Liv Tyler. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see her.

This place reminds me of Philly. Bobo's Bar to be exact. Good service. Good food. and plenty of DRINKS!!! There's a nice flat screen above the bar usually playing whatever sporting event is on. Lots of comfy booths and tables to sit at. And a few great beers on tap. Not to mention the GINORMAS HITE PITCHERS!!!!

The owner is cool. Very nice and makes a mean soju martini. MEAN I TELL YA!

Oh yeah, and I swear he puts crack in the budaejjigae. It's so damn good. The best budaejjigae in San Francisco. HANDS DOWN!

I LOVE this place and for once I am hoping that crowds of people read this and flood the Spot so that they never ever go out of business.  Great Korean food, incredibly nice service and a complimentary cocktail here and there keep me coming back. Well, that, and the fact that it is the closest restaurant to my house.

When i first walked into this place, it looked a lot different from what i had imagined it to be.  I was quite disappointed, to be honest.  My friends and i were not impressed with the korean food here either.  We've had kimchi and seafood pancakes, rice cake, fries, calamari, onion rings, and some other i can't remember.  What i do remember is their flavored SOJU!!  Yogurt was my favorite flavor.  We came here for happy hour a few times already and had fun every single time.  We sat there and drank soju, and before we knew it, 3 bottles of soju and 3 hours had passed!  It does remind me of Toyose (the garage) on noriega.  3 stars for good soju and friendly owners.

Finally!  A place in the set to get Korean food!

I came here for the first time w/o him, but I decided to bring him here cus I thought the spot wings were hella good.  I feel kinda jipped tho bc you get 8 wings/drumsticks for 10 or 11 bucks.  You could go to Safeway and buy a bag of chicken for that much!  But they're really good...sweet and spicy at the same time.  They aren't like the ones you can buy at Kukje and just reheat.  I can't really explain how they taste but my mouth is watering thinking about it.

We also ordered the dduk bok ki, marinated rice sticks w/ ramen and fish cake.  We always order this at Arang.  I LOVED the dduk bok ki here!  Argh it sucked that they didn't give that much ramen tho...rather than a whole block of noodles it was more like half.  They hella hook it up with the fish cake and rice sticks though.

A pitcher of OB makes the meal complete!

Also, the apple soju is awesome.  PASS on the lychee soju..thats...disgusting.  Super disgusting.  Soju is a creeper!  I thought I was good then BAM i was pretty wasted..like..I shouldn't have been driving wasted, but I did anyways.

I love how clean it is here, too. The bathroom isn't grimey or anything either.  I'm abandoning Toyose.  I just wish they had casseroles here :(  I'll be back to try more soju and their martinis!

Definitely a great place to take your friends! A little difficult to find if you're not from SF---especially since google maps is a little vague when it describes taking Geary from Market.

We ordered drinks, appetizers and meals, and everything was GREAT!! the waitress was super nice, and even another employee (probably the owner) came by to check on us.  Music was awesome and the menu was definitely a plus because it had a little of everything you could possibly be craving.

So, a good friend of mine (who recommended loveberry) redeemed himself by recommending this convenient place.

Decided to go for a few birthday drinks with my friend and bf - place was pretty dead but it was Tuesday night.  (I got into work on time the next day, too.  Hi5 to self!)  Their mixed drinks, I thought, were pretty strong and good - food was not AMAZING but definately hits the spot when you've had a few Hite's and OB's.  (mmm...dukbokki...)  It's like a resto-lounge because they have seats/tables and a nice selection of korean food and a kickass music selection.  (Music was a good level...not like Rohan where they turbo blast it on full throttle mode...)  Gotta love those free shrimp chips, too!  Our server/bartender was awesome, too.  (kudos for the great service)

My friend goes there often and knows the guys who works there so I don't know if we had special treatment ... BUT it was my first time going and I had a great time .. and everyone else there looked like they were having a good time as well.  I'll be back, most def.  :)  yahoo!

We celebrated a birthday here just last night and it was my first time at the location.  At first I was expecting a total bar-like atmosphere with all the smells of liquor, sports on the tube, and loud music.  When I stepped in, however, my expectations changed as I felt carpetted floors, the aroma of cooking food, and a pleasant environment.  They led us to the back in a totally secluded and soundproof room where a group of about 20 (max capacity 34) sat comfortably.  Then the Sojus came out.  Name any tropical flavor and they've got it!  Colors, tastes, smells, and textures in those beautiful bottles were spectacular to say the least.  The table's favorite happened to be mango, whereas the unfavorite was yogurt.  Among others were lychee, pear, strawberry, and a bunch more.  The food was delicious.  I couldn't stop eating the kalbi.  Soo yummy!  I recommend this place to fun groups who like to eat, drink soju, and/or sing videoke.

We were in need of a place, a special place. Somewhere that has great food, great drinks and parking. Now I know what your thinking, those three things said in the in the same sentence is a myth in SF, right? I mean you will get 2/3 but never 3/3.

I found this place. I might as well call it my emerald city. The food is great, hard to find good korean food that isn't a 20 min drive from where im living.

Drinks are great. Soju cocktails that can creep up on you if your not careful. Havent tried everything, but im planning on accomplishing that very soon. Many people will try to compare this place on Noriega, which I've gone too, but something about that other place doesn't feel right.  Maybe its the fact that they serve and cook out of a garage. I mean I have nothing wrong with their food or setup, but come on its a garage. Im from the boondocks and cornfields of the midwest and I've never seen a place like this. They do very well, get a proper food establishment...

Anyways, the staff is always great and even if it wasn't, I really wouldnt care. I'm glad I don't live too close or I probably would come here everyday. Although i do plan to come by once a week. Love this place.

Been here 4 times so far and each time has been good times!  It's a nice & swanky interior, but not swanky in a bad way.  The TV over the bar helps add a little sports bar feel to the mix and the owner is really nice.  He mentioned something about certain daily specials but I don't remember what they were...

Personally I didn't find the food to be all that great, but the drinks were spectacular!  I love the fact that they have so many different types of flavored soju and that they do soju based mixed drinks.

So I'll be coming back here not for the food, but definitely for the drinks!

Great food, drinks, service, just a great place!

I had the seafood pancake and calamari, both were good, but not great.  I will be coming back for the Soju and the service.  The people here are so friendly, especially Ada (I think thats how you spell it) She was extremely friendly and always ready to assist you.  I motioned to her that I wanted help and she came running to my table!!!  As we left all 3 workers behind the bar said bye.

I must do it!  I must compare this to its older brother Toyose (http://www.yelp.com/bi...).  I believe the owner opened this place up because he used to be a regular there and wanted to open his own business in its likeness.

So if you've been to Toyose already, you will surely do a head to head comparison also.  Those that have never been to either, well, I actually recommend Toyose more, but read on.  It really depends what you are looking for in these kind of establishments.  And when I say "these kind establishments" I mean predominantly Asian dives that serve flavored soju and Korean fast food.

Let's start with the food.  Our staples in "these kinds" are fried chicken wings, seafood pancake, potstickers, and kim chi fried rice.  And The Spot basically screwed almost all of these up.  Main culprit -- over salting.  Do they just want us to order more soju to dissolve the salt away?  Ok, seafood pancake was decent but all others goes to Toyose for taste.

Bonus here: they have those comped mini dishes we all love in Korean joints.  Their pickled jalepeno needed constant refilling.  Yum!

Service goes to the Spot.  Perhaps because we were the only table there, so we got 100% of the service's attention.  But I believe even on a busy night, the nice waitress would still  be very accomodating and friendly.  She was quick and communicated with the owner when dealing with requests from customers.  She's tops!  And speaking of the owner... really friendly guy and believes in his new business.  Hope this lasts.

As for the actual place, it's clean and has plenty of tables for the big groups.  Really like that they have a TV here and there is a bar (not sure if it is full) so you can sample other cocktails if you so pleased.  There is a private room in the back for a larger group.  And so far I didn't smell indoor smoking.

Now what everyone comes here for -- the flavored soju.  Yes, it's pretty good here and offers flavors I haven't seen in most other Korean places.  And I found mixing the yogurt with other fruit flavors was pretty delish... like creating a new flavor.

I still have my favorites at Toyose, and if they eased up on the salt lick, I'd really enjoy eating here more.  Otherwise, I'd see it as more of a drinking place.  Love that it's next to the L-Taraval so that's convenient.

Chum Churum.

Chum Churum.
It sounds like a small bell (= Foorin), Chim-Chimney or little mouse crying.

There was a poster in the men's room.
There were 3 photos of a very good, young and attractive but very corny & skanky lookin' Asian girl in the poster but the girl doesn't look like Korean or even Asian at all because she has big eyes.
It was hard to take care the business because the poster made me excited.

http://www.youtube.com...

The poster for Soju calls "Chum Churum".
Means 1st time in Korean.
?
Yes, it was my 1st time at the Spot Lounge.
I'm not a Lounge kinda guy but this lounge made me feel like real "Izakaya" because there were NO SNOBBISH people.
The wait stuff were very friendly and nice.
Many soju drinks and Korean appetizers.
I liked BBQ beef but pot stickers were too dry.

Chum Churum.

So, Soju & a hot young-girl.
Sure.
But why some Korean girls STILL wants big eyes.
You know, I'm not into everything "Natural" but I do think the women in the TV show calls Real Orange County House Wives are Freckin UGLY especially the face lifted ones. I hate the fat lips woman tried to look like Angelina Jolie Voight but she looks like just got punched by her husband.
I don't know.
I think face lift is FXXXin' pathetic.
I hate the always wide-open eyes.
Their eyes all look like they just smoked put and try not to show kinda face.
I FXXXin' hate that face of Nancy Pelosi.
Hey Nancy, your face looks like a slice of 5 days old peperoni pizza or nymphomania poodle or Bob Dole.

But I have met beautiful Asian women who has small eyes.

Chum Churum.
Yes, it was my 1st time there.
The Spot Lounge is a right spot.
I want to go back.
How do you say 2nd time and more in Korean?

I almost had the opportunity (or misfortune?) to see naked Euge (http://www.yelp.com/us...) the night I went to The Spot. Good thing JeFF (http://www.yelp.com/us...) and Kevo (http://www.yelp.com/us...) discouraged such behavior. I really don't need reassurance of how big Euge's peepee is. I've heard enough rumors.

Anyway!

This place has really good drinks, especially the flavored soju. We had strawberry flavored soju and guava flavored soju. But my favorite was the yogurt flavored one. Seriously, their yogurt soju tastes like one of those yakult drinks (http://en.wikipedia.or...). I would drink it all day if I could. Preferably alone, so nobody will witness me barfing my head off.

The Spot also serves Korean food such as galbi, the seafood omelette thing, the chicken gizzard thing, the fried chicken thing....

....

yeah, so I don't know shit about korean food, okay? But it doesn't matter. Even though I didn't eat that much that night, the food was pretty good. Plus, there were endless amounts of popcorn and shrimp chips.

They also have a karaoke room that the owner claimed as "meeting room". Yeah, sure, apparently Koreans have meetings in rooms with a bunch of beer print ads, 2 flat screen TVs, karaoke machines, and disco balls. If that's the case, I'd love to be a Korean.

Great service, great food, great drinks, plus back and forth "damn japo" and "damn han guk" truly made a memorable night.

I had a very loud lesson in the history of my people here the other night.  The Korean/Turkish connection, more about the 40 years of oppression by the you know who, some north versus south stuff, something to do with China and the Russians and other "facts" that are kind of hazy right now but may come back to me later.

The Spot has a front area that's typical Korean bar looking, booths, tables, screens.  As a group of about 10-15 people, we started in the front before being moved to the private room in the back.  This "meeting"  room was outfitted with 2 big screen TVs, a karaoke set up, shiny disco ball and tons of beer and soju ads.  While all this was nice, it resulted in me being asked to sing "Arirang" about 25 times.  First of all, I only know the chorus.  Second, the video would have to be played in slow motion for me to be able to read the rest of the words thereby ruining the effect of a song that often makes me teary-eyed.  Third, I only let my stage momma pick my songs.  Therefore, I just said no 25 times.

As for the food and beverages, the best things were the fried chicken and all the flavored sojus.  They have about 10 different flavors but I think we only tried the strawberry, guava and yogurt.  The yogurt one was particularly nice and was even picky little Korean man approved.

At the end of the night, I went home with souvenirs: a pitcher of OB and a bottle of Chamisul in my purse.  Please don't call me ghetto.

So I've discovered in my 10 months on Yelp that generally it is never a good thing when a random person says 'Hey, didn't I see you on Yelp??'

Oh shit!

Did I make fun of your mother? Talk about pulling out a vibrator in front of your establishment?? Call you a troll, lamb, spazz, dork??

So... at my normal Sunday night hangout Costellos on Taraval - Tommy, the owner, left the Deuces before 10 piss fucking drunk, running into buildings as he stumbled home, so I KNEW instantly it was going to be a good night.

Of course, never one to pass up a photo opportunity, my BFF and I trotted outside to take more pictures in front of the excessively conspicuous 'The Spot' banner between songs - I'll be damned if one of the business partners didn't come out and ask my friend 'What is that girl's name? I saw her picture of The Spot on Yelp.'

Long story short...

I slurped Guinness and nibbled on calamari tonight. I can't really say whether it was actually good because I'm drunk or good because it's actually good - but God damnit, all you gotta say is 'Didn't I see you on Yelp?' to get my affection.

Ok... It may be slightly more complicated than that.

But you get the point.

If you are drunk at the Deuces and hungry, it beats mayonnaise hot dogs at 7-11.

Update 2.25.08:

Ok, so it's Monday morning and I'm sober so maybe I can write a proper review (this is why I shouldn't be allowed to have a smartphone while drinking; just ask the recipient of my drunk texts and I'm sure he'll give you more reasons, although I'm sure 'annoying' comes instantly to mind.)

We sent my BFF's boyfriend into The Spot on a seafood recon mission because it was Sunday and we needed something to soak up the Guinness and tequila (they don't mix by the way).

Apparently I was doing the same exact pose in front of their banner, barking at my BFF to 'quick, take a picture before he comes out!'... because it says 'The Spot', come on, that's hilarious.

I adore calamari, and it's been ruined by more than one establishment but they pulled it off pretty well. I think I stole a potsticker from my BFF but I don't remember.

And there are fish and chips sitting in the apartment somewhere... but we were too wasted to eat them. Shame the little fishies died in vain.

update: 3.23.08

It's officially. This place rocks my fucking socks.

The two empty bottles of guava soju say so.

I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent ( the shortribs, budaechige, and the seafood pancake are bomb). There's a lot of beer to choose from: korean ( and imports other than korean) and domestic. There is also soju (straight and mixed with fruity flavors).
And...
The place is clean +1.
Everyone is friendly +1.
I give "The Spot" my stamp of approval. 5 stars.

The Spot is now my spot to just hang out and have a few drinks or something. It's a Thursday so I understand why there were only one person in there when we walked in but couple more people came while we were seated. i can see that this place can get packed during the weekend. Service couldn't of been ANY better. Very attentive and extremely nice/friendly.

I wanted to try almost everything on the menu, drinks and food wise. I tried the Sweet n Sour-Strawberry juice, soju, sour apple liqueur, served chilled into a fresh strawberry sugar rimed glass. All soju martinis were only $6! I consider that cheap... I also tried my friends' Blushing Beauty-Pomegranate, soju, splash of sparkling water, served chilled with a lemon twist. This was also good with a pretty strong (not in a bad way) pomegranate taste but I still loved my Sweet n Sour more.

As for food. They first give us non stale yucky popcorn! I was hungry so I wanted to munch on food while we drink and talk. I wanted a lot of things on the menu (Bul Go Gi, Kal bI, Chicken Bul Go Gi, Soups, Potstickers, Pancakes, Fried Calamari, Chicken Wings) but I wanted something fried that had french fries so I got the Fish and Chips ($8.95) to share with a friend of mine. For the price, we got 3 HUGE pieces of fish filet fried to perfection and loads of french fries.

We then ordered a soju cocktail, peach flavored, $12.95 for a whole big bottle! It was so damn good! If you're not a drinker but don't wanna feel left out or get drunk/buzzed, this is the drink for you. It tasted milky and peachy with a hint of soju. Both the owners/bartenders were so nice, they even offered us, not one but TWO each, a free sample shots of any flavored soju cocktail that we wanted. So we tried the Mango and Guava. Both tasted wonderful but I prefer the Mango more then the Guava. AND while we were getting ready to leave, the owner/bartender again, gave us another sample shot of their freshly blended strawberry soju cocktail! How awesome is that!

I just can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu! I think this will be a weekly spot for me!

i ordered a bottle of the pear and it came in this cute serving thing.. plus the bartender let us try the yogurt for free. it was pretty delish too.
and now for the food..
i tried the shrimp fried rice (tasty), the potstickers (deep fried and meh), and "the spot" wings (the best thing i had.. sweet and barely spicy).

all in all, not a horrible experience. i'd come back again to get drunk here. :P

minus one star for the small portions
minus one star for the price of the small portions
plus one star for the wide array of yummy sojus

Dearest Toyose,

I'm not sure how to put this... but lately, Ive had the strangest feeling. With no vivid reason here to find. But yet the thought of losing you has been hangin' around my mind. Far more frequently you're wearing perfume, with you say no special place to go. But when I ask will you be coming back soon, you don't know, never know.

Now, just the other night while you were sleeping, I vaguely heard you whisper someones name. But when I ask you of the thoughts you're keeping, you just say nothings changed. Lately Ive been staring in the mirror. Very slowly picking me apart. I'm trying to tell myself I have no reason with your heart...

I'm a man of many wishes. I hope my premonition misses. But what I really feel, my eyes wont let me hide. Because they always start to cry. Cause this time really means goodbye.

There are friends and there are lovers. Sometimes it hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. There are those who have somehow found a way to be the two. I finally found someone that knocks me off my feet. I finally found the one that makes me feel complete. It started over Soju. It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin.

She cooks for me all the best Korean appetizers and foodies. Her strawberry banana soju is sweet like the nectar of the gods. She pampers me with no reservation...never leaving me wanting. She has a pretty face and a heart of gold. She has an old soul...I don't feel like I need to be 23 in order to be with her. She doesn't smoke either. She's so good to me. She's so good for me.

I will miss you...

Love,

Kevo

P.S. She's a little shy so if you happen to meet her in the next few weeks, please go easy on her. Having just completed finishing school, she's still spreading her debutante wings. Last night was her cotillion!

So after driving down Taraval, I noticed this new place. I looked it up on Yelp and saw several favorable reviews.

So as everyone has already said, it&#
